This latest album "Steer By The Stars" is a brilliant 20th Anniversary celebration from award-winning band Skipinnish, may they sail on for many more!

Co-founders Andrew MacPhail (Tiree) and Andrew Stevenson (Lochaber) met while studying at the highly acclaimed R.S.A.M.D in Glasgow. With a similar passion for authentic traditional Scottish music by early 1999 'Skipinnish' was established.

With increased numbers in the band from these early days and with the addition of lead vocals and full back line, recent years have seen this band hit the very top of the music scene in Scotland.

The birthday celebrations commenced with an exciting return to the Usher Hall in Edinburgh on the 25th of May and continue with a flagship summer Highland birthday party in Inverness on the 5th of July.

Although the band are taking a year out of Scottish Festivals in 2019, they will however be appearing at various events in England, Ireland and the rest of Europe with an invitation to all to join them in their birthday celebrations!

"The legend of the Seventh Wave held true for Skipinnish and our last album of the title gave the band a rise in popularity that we could never have anticipated. In the two years since its release in May 2017, we are lucky to have been riding an ever-growing wave of gigs, audiences, fans and fulfilment as a band that only existed in our dreams just a few years ago. As the wave goes on, we hope to add to its power with this album. It is with gratitude and thanks that we present to you, "Steer By The Stars". Skipinnish.
