Photos from my travel diary, taken during the photographic project I carried out in East Africa over several months, during three long stays in 2024. This region holds a special place in my heart, as it's where I began my career as a photographer. The results of this work will be released during 2025. |

The Guardian et Aftenposten Innsikt publient mon reportage sur le cricket en Inde que Ashis Nandy, sociologue indien décrit comme « un jeu indien découvert accidentellement par les Britanniques ». Ironie de l’Histoire, ce sport autrefois apanage exclusif de l’élite coloniale est aujourd’hui la passion nationale des anciens colonisés.

The Guardian and Aftenposten Innsikt publish my story on cricket in India, which Indian sociologist Ashis Nandy describes as “an Indian game accidentally discovered by the British”. Ironically, this sport, once the exclusive preserve of the colonial elite, is now the national passion of the formerly colonized.

Alash Orda, mon travail sur l’identité Kazakh a été exposé à la 15e édition du Zoom Photo Festival (Québec), édition anniversaire faite de rencontres, retrouvailles, discussions et table ronde.
Wakaliwood, l'histoire du studio de cinéma indépendant produisant, pour trois fois rien, des comédies d'action dans un quartier populaire de Kampala a été exposée dans les Alliances Françaises de Pune et de Pondicherry, en Inde.
Grâce à son auteur, Michelle Bogre, je figure aux côtés de collègues éminents dans le chapitre «visualiser l’invisible» de Photography as Activism, un livre qui offre aux lecteurs un aperçu de la théorie, de l'histoire, de la philosophie et de la pratique de la photographie militante.

Alash Orda, my work on Kazakh identity, was exhibited at the 15th edition of the Zoom Photo Festival (Quebec). An anniversary edition of meetings, reunions, discussions and round tables.
Wakaliwood, the story of an independent film studio producing action comedies for next to nothing in a working-class district of Kampala, was exhibited at the Alliances Françaises in Pune and Pondicherry, India.
Thanks to its author, Michelle Bogre, I'm featured alongside eminent colleagues in the “visualizing the invisible” chapter of Photography as Activism, a book that offers readers an overview of the theory, history, philosophy and practice of activist photography.
