OUTAGE UPDATE
Information received from Ausgrid teams on-site:
Tree loppers are currently chopping the trunk of the tree at Richard
Road to allow access to high voltage wires for Ausgrid to reinstate
power.
The crew anticipate power will be back to most houses on the Island
before they leave at 7pm.
Houses around the site on Richard Road may not have their low voltage
wires connected until tomorrow.
A section of Florence Terrace from just after Pathilda Reserve to
Bangalla and from 39 Thompson Street to just past Elsie Street will not
have power back until tomorrow due to low voltage wires still being
down.
Note
from SIRA: From observations during previous events we strongly advice
residents to accept the above as a best-case scenario and be ready to
cope with another night without power. Things can then only turn out
better than thought!
