Pat Leask of Ontario, Canada intended to 'fabricate' a beautiful exterior for her Baggalista, but when she saw this outstanding fabric, she decided to just co-ordinate a few other prints with it! I LOVE the striped fabric she used for the bias tape & our striped zippers really highlight these phone pockets. Here's a peek at the interior.

Look What I Found OnLine- Interesting Cell Phone Info
|
|
|
Here's four things you might not know about your cell phone, but should.
(courtesy of my Dad)
1) Emergency- The worldwide emergency number for mobile phones is 112. If you find yourself our of your coverage area with an emergency, dial 112 and your phone will search any existing network to establish the call for you.
2) Hidden Battery Power- If your cell battery is very low, press the keys *3370#. Your phone will restart with its reserve power and show a 50% increase in battery. The reserve will replenish when you recharge next time.
|
3) Disabling a stolen phone- Record your phone's serial #. Key in the following digits to retrieve it: *#06#. A 15-digit code will appear. This # is unique to your phone only. Write it down & keep it safe. If your phone is stolen, you can phone your provider and give them this code. They can blcok your handset so that even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. No, you probably won't get your phone back, but at least whoever stole it can't use it either.
4) FREE Directory Service for Cells- Most of us don't carry a telephone book in our vehicle, so when you need to use directory assistance, don't pay $1.00 or so to use 411! Instead, dial (800)FREE411 or (800)373-3411, and you won't incur any charge at ALL!

New Word of the Month- negatile
|
(n.) An area of the bathroom floor where for some unknown and mysterious reason, the scale registers five pounds lighter!
|
NY Times- published Nov 18th, 2011
It is a sport in which the contestants sometimes lie down in the middle of the field, unmotivated and bemused.
Feline agility competitions, in which cats run through a miniature obstacle course full of hurdles and tunnels, have become fixtures on the cat show scene. Modeled after canine agility competitions, the tournaments feature a ring in which cat owners — some of whom have trained their pets from kittenhood — brandish a feather or sparkly wand to try to coax a cat to climb stairs, weave around poles and leap through hoops in as little time as possible. If it's news that his cat posse can use --- he's on it. And with all of this high tailing it, his effort has not gone unnoticed. Today is Saturday, March 7th. It's obviously the 7th day of 2012 and there are 359 days remaining. And while I scoured the net for interesting things that happened on this day in history, March 7th has evidently just always kind of been a dull day.
However, there have been some pretty interesting characters born on this day. For example, Grammy award winner, Kenny Loggins is celebrating his birthday today, along with the darling of the network news, Katie Couric. They share their special day with actors screen actor, Nicholas Cage and TV star, David Caruso, who blew off a starring gig in NYPD Blue, (an old favorite of mine), for eventual, and long-awaited stardom in CSI Miami.
And if today is also YOUR birthday, then here's a great big 'Happy Birthday to YOU' from StudioKat Designs, and if today is not your birthday, you can celebrate the day anyway, by checking out this little trailer from the movie Top Gun, which featured a Kenny Loggins tune, or you can chuckle your way thru this cool assemblage of corny one-liners that David Caruso has spoken to kick off CSI Miami thru the years. AND if you're a Horatio Caine buff, you also might enjoy this imitation by Jim Carrey!
