Just a gentle reminder that there is NO meeting at the clubrooms this week, instead we will assemble in the main car park at Blaise Castle at 7pm Wednesday. Details and location are below. |

Next Wednesday sees members travel to Blaise Castle for our annual outing. The plan is to meet in the main carpark at 7pm and then wander around Blaise estate until you are either knackered or the light goes - unlike many recent years, when the outing has been in late July or August, this year we are gathering in the great outdoors, just a couple of days past the longest day, so there should be plenty of time to fill your SD cards!

The car park is in Kings Weston Road; for those using sat nav to find it, the nearest post code is BS10 7QS.
There are plenty of things to see at Blaise, from the main house, the woods or St Mary's Church, which has many interesting features, including the 1720 gravestone of Scipio Africanus, a slave in the 16th century. To find out more about the estate, have a look at the Bristol City Council web page by following this link.

My request for suggestions for a venue for the outing brought forth just two responses, one from Linda Meaton who suggested the city docks and a second from Jeff Hargreaves, who suggested Blaise Castle. I plumped for Blaise as it has easier parking, and more importantly - parking is FREE! Many thanks to both for responding. |

Needless to say, there will be NO Zoom meeting next week. |
The closing date for this year’s Creative Competition is next week, but as the meeting is at Blaise Castle, Unit 13 will not be open for print entries to be deposited. Therefore, please note the following:
All PDI entries and PDIs of prints must be submitted via PhotoEntry by next Wednesday, 24 June. However, actual prints may be put in the box in Unit 13 until the following Wednesday, 1 July.

it would be appreciated if you could let the Membership Secretary know
so that she can keep her records up to date, this will also ensure that
