9 April-14 May 2011
10 am – 6pm // Wed-Sat
Preview Evening
29th April // 6.30-8.30pm in association with South London LAST Fridays
BEARSPACE features a new collection of original large-scale works on paper by artist Isabel Rock, exploring matriarchal themes aesthetically informed by time spent in India. These intricate works display figures engaged in complex chains and circles.  Flocks of birds sweep through and consume these drawings; Rock describes these birds as both decorative and threatening in their numbers and their voracious appetite.
BEARSPACE @ Trajector Art Fair, Hotel Boom, Brussels
30 April & 1 May 2011
April 2011 sees the Art Fair return to Brussels after it’s first appearance in the Belgian capital in 2010 coinciding and collaborating with Art Brussels. Trajector Art Fair will transform Hotel Boom into a vibrant boutique hotel art fair providing a platform for a range of approximately 30 international art spaces, galleries and curators. BEARSPACE presents ‘LANDINGS’ a two-person presentation for Trajector Art Fair, exhibiting works by Suzanne Moxhay and Jane Ward.  Artists both draw on the history of landscape works, both fragmenting and layering them using new media to emulate and subvert what has been a traditional subject matter in traditional media.
Suzanne Moxhey @ Pinewood Studios

BEARSPACE artist Suzanne Moxhey is showing a series works at the Stanley Kubrick Building, Pinewood Studios for two weeks from 26th April. It is part of a programme of exhibitions at the production office for Ridley Scott's new film 'Prometheus' which is being filmed over the next 3 months. Unfortunately it won't be open to the public.
