J.B. Rhine was fond of animals, but in 1927, it was his curiosity that led him to a ‘psychic’ horse named Lady Wonder. By 1951, JB Rhine had initiated research programs at the Duke Parapsychology Labs that focused on the question: Do animals have Psi abilities? The research continued through the 60s and 70s, including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, even bugs and fish.

Susan Freeman is Program Director and Research Associate at the Rhine Research Center. She has spent much of her 9 years at the Rhine working closely with Sally Rhine Feather on the historic spontaneous case reports collected by Louisa Rhine and Sally, and tends to the experience reports and phone calls that come in frequently. She has trained in Hypnosis, Regression and numerous Energy Healing modalities over the past 20 years. Susan combines a strong focus on psychic experiences with a healthy respect and appreciation for Psi research to support others as well as help the Rhine continue to thrive.
