About the Presenters
Yeshim Oz, MS, LIMHP, is a Personal and Supervising Analysts at the Kansas City Psychoanalytic Institute. She started her career as a Special Education teacher for autistic children in Istanbul, Turkey. In 1992 she moved to Vienna, Austria and worked with Turkish teenagers that were involved in minor criminal activities. In 1998, she immigrated to the United States and received her Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. She graduated from the Greater Kansas City Psychoanalytic Institute as an analyst in 2019, and, since then, she has served on different committees, including co-chairing the Curriculum and Faculty Committee. Her area of interest within psychoanalysis is French Psychoanalysis, especially the ideas of Lacan, and the contributions of Laplanche and Andre Green to psychoanalytic theory.
Mindy Duncan, PhD is the President and Director of the Center for Psychosocial Organization Studies in Columbia, Missouri and an Academic Candidate at the Greater Kansas City Psychoanalytic Institute. She is provisionally licensed as a professional counselor in the state of Missouri. She offers psychoanalytic psychotherapy in person in Columbia, MO and online in Missouri. She has an MA in anthropology and a PhD in Public Affairs. Her research interests include the psychodynamics of management, organizational culture and change, and behavioral health organizations, and she is an experienced organizational analyst. She has published papers in Parenting, Psychodynamic Practice, Organization, and the International Journal of Applied Psychoanalytic Studies.
