Quote of the Week

Never stop just because you feel defeated. The journey to the other side is attainable only after great suffering.

President's Corner

Being the owner of a Note Business often requires you to wear many different hats. However, it is important to focus on your main objective, which is to turn a profit.  This week is my fourth of four suggestions of elements of a Note Business that you might want to keep at the top of your priority list.  For this week the priority element is make it snappy and easy.  Most people today are always on the run and are multitasking all day long.  When introducing your note business either in person or online, make sure you have an informative couple of sentences that sums up what you do and how it might help that possible contact. Also make sure your note business processes are efficient. Make sure your note business is easy to find, make the process quick, make contact with the note holder’s engaging and be quick to respond to the note holder’s needs. Remember, Success Demands Action! Keep on marketing, it’s going to work! TWITA!

Persistence Pays

One of the most overwhelmingly common questions that brokers asked me is, "How did you become successful in this business?" and "What can I do to be successful in this business?" Well as everyone that attended my sessions knows, when I started in this business they only taught us about seller financed or private mortgages. At my training class there was no factoring, business notes, equipment leasing, medical receivables, or any of the 60 or so other cash flows that are now available. If I was going to make it at all it was going to be in the private mortgage arena... Read More...

Question of the Week

Q - Hi Jeff,

Thanks for e-mailing me useful information on a regular basis. I was wondering if you would, one month after closing, buy an 80-10-10 on a non-owner occupied home, no down, but with a high FICO buyer. The 2nd mortgage would be no payments for a few years as an inducement for the investor to be able to cash flow on the rental. Any buyers for something like this?

                                                 ~ Ervin

A - Hi Ervin!

Thanks for the email! Unfortunately I do not know of anyone who would be interested in a 2nd position note like that at all. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.                      ~ Jeff
