Dear classic car enthusiast,
We can enjoy a touch of Indian summer in our part of Europe, hopefully followed by a fine and not too wet autumn. Over the past few weeks, around fifteen classic and sports cars have arrived for sale. The first four can be photographed this coming Friday at S2 Classic Cars.
Today I present the four latest arrivals at Altena Classic Service and Classic Open: a magnificent Bentley ‘Old Number One’ built by Racing Green Engineering (see the photo above of the enormous engine!), a superb Morgan Plus Six, a beautiful Morgan Plus 4, and a very handsome Triumph TR3A.
New vintage original products have also been added to our Classentials webshop, including several refurbished and restored classic Blaupunkt car radios for BMW, Citroën, Jaguar, Mercedes‑Benz, Porsche, and universal models suitable for many marques from the 1960s, 1970s and early 1980s.

BENTLEY 'OLD NUMBER ONE', 1948 - BY RACING GREEN ENGINEERING

Bentley ‘Old Number One’, built by Racing Green Engineering in 2023 (based on a 1948 chassis). Finished in dark blue with a dark brown leather interior and black rubber carpeting. Black mohair tonneau cover. This magnificent eight-cylinder Bentley ‘Old Number One’ was built to perfection by the renowned UK-based firm Racing Green Engineering (RGE). Altena Classic Service, an official RGE representative, delivered the car to its owner in 2023. Since its completion, the car has covered only 2,230 kilometres. This striking Bentley is in excellent, virtually new condition. The car holds European registration and can be imported and registered in any European country; all relevant paperwork and documentation are present. | MORGAN PLUS SIX, 2019 | |

Morgan Plus Six, year 2019. Finished in Rolls-Royce Velvet Green with a dark brown leather interior. It is complemented by a green mohair soft-top, matching side screens and tonneau cover, and a bespoke hard-top in body colour with black head lining. This particular Plus Six was the first example ordered in the Netherlands. The original (and only) owner specified an extensive list of custom options, resulting in delivery in early 2020. The Plus Six combines two distinct automotive worlds: an ultra-modern bonded aluminum chassis paired with the BMW Z4 (M40i) powertrain, and the classic, lightweight Morgan aluminum bodywork set on an ash wood frame, a construction method Morgan has employed since the original Plus 4 of 1936. The result is a beautiful symbiosis of classic and modern, creating a stunningly designed sports car. The Morgan Plus Six embodies the brand's core values: classic design and traditional craftsmanship combined with high-tech (chassis) engineering, all aimed at delivering the ultimate lightweight roadster experience.

Triumph TR3A, jaar 1958. Uitgevoerd in donkerblauw met een beige lederen interieur, beige vloerbedekking en een beige soft-top met zwarte zijruitframes. Deze aantrekkelijke Triumph TR3A is ruim tien jaar geleden grondig gerestaureerd en verkeert nog steeds in zeer goede, goed onderhouden staat. | MORGAN PLUS 4, 2006 | |

Morgan Plus 4, year 2006. Finished in black with a red leather interior trimmed with black piping and black carpeting piped in red. Equipped with a black soft‑top and aluminium side screens with black door covers. This handsome Morgan Plus 4 was delivered new in Germany. With 42,000 kilometres recorded, the car moved to the Netherlands in 2015. It has now covered 73,000 kilometres from new, with the service history documented from 2015 onwards. The car is in excellent and perfectly maintained condition! Under the bonnet lies the superb 2.0‑litre Ford Duratec four‑cylinder engine, supplied by Ford’s Special Equipment division. This refined 16‑valve DOHC unit produces 144 hp and 190 Nm of torque, giving the 920‑kg Plus 4 lively and engaging performance. This is a magnificent Morgan Plus 4 in excellent condition; a car that drives and feels like new!
