Spring is in full gear here on The Farm! So many beautiful days. This month, a quick snapshot of several different things happening in The Farm Community right now. In spite of all the darkness in our world, I hope you are able to find some joy in the coming of spring.
Namaste,

It’s fun to have so many new food options, right in Summertown and close to home.

Mark Schoenbrun, who was born on The Farm, and his wife, Skye, who is from Thailand, have moved back to The Farm, and are now operating Skye‘s Thai Kitchen food truck. In addition to serving meals on The Farm, they travel and set up shop in various small towns establishing a reputation as a tasty alternative to local lunch options. Find them on Facebook and Instagram.
Just off-The Farm, the old Summertown Market is now managed by a couple from India, who sell delicious Indian food on Sundays. They are selling out!

Just a stones throw down the road, The Little Dipper ice cream shop from the early 60s has been transformed into, El Azteca, Mexican food. El Azteca is a local chain, and I hope they have found a niche here in Summertown. Everyone loves Mexican food!
Here on The Farm, one of our beloved new Provisional Members, Pickles Wolinski-Miller, is always tantalizing us with new food offerings. Brunches. Soups to go. Full dinners...and on The Farm‘s monthly Market Days, delicious pickles of every type.

Pickles is my beloved assistant as kitchen manager for the upcoming Peace Dance weekend on The Farm.
She brings great Heart to our Dance practice as a Mentored Leader in Training.

Three Generations
Just last week, a photographer from the National Geographic Society spent a week documenting The Farm Midwives, creating content about changing cultures and families. As part of that story, she set up a portrait shot with my wife, Deborah, who served as one of the midwives for over 35 years, our daughter Leah, who currently serves as a midwifery assistant, and our granddaughter Lulie, turning 21 and graduating from nursing school, following in Deborah's footsteps by as an RN in labor and delivery.

Spring is mating season for the vultures that roost in the valley behind our house.
They leave the tops of the tall trees and move on to lower branches and even walk around on the ground! As they work their way up the hill, they arrive at my house and may perch for a while on the porch railing and then go up on the roof.

Cut down on waste with these thin sheets of detergent for your laundry and dishwasher.
Liquid detergent means transporting a lot of water and a big plastic container that’s too toxic to recycle. These new concentrated laundry sheets consist of a small, ultra-thin rectangle measuring about 2 inches x 3 inches. We find the one for our dishwasher so concentrated that we can tear it in half. The packaging is a small amount of cardboard that you can recycle.

A full weekend of Peace in action! Raising our vibration. Only $150 per person. Click here to learn more.
In these challenging times, our dances are embodied prayers that polish the heart.
