Fundraising for New "Drop of Water" Music Video
I am working on a new music video for my song “Drop of Water” and seeking contributions for this effort.
I believe “Drop of Water” is one of my most important songs. It has been translated into numerous languages, and I’m honored that it is sung around campfires all over the world. I’m hoping a beautiful music video will help spread the song even farther. I estimate that the cost of making the video will be roughly $4000. Thanks to everyone who has already donated. We've raised $1600 toward the $4000 goal.
Below are several ways you can help support the video project:
Credit Card, Paypal, or Venmo
Drop of Water Fund (for tax deductible contributions)
You can make tax-deductible contributions via the Drop of Water Fund non-profit organization, which has helped fund several of my environmental education music videos (“The Great Salish Sea," “Salmon Come Home," and “Love Song To Jane”).

A Long Strange Album Release Party
My “Cracks in the Heartland” album has had a long strange protracted release, mostly due to the pandemic, and also due in part to my own long strange protracted schedule. The album was recorded in 2018 and 2019 in Portland, Oregon, and was produced by my friend Casey Neill.
Unlikely Alliances
"Cracks in the Heartland" is largely set in the prairie and has a number of songs about rural people standing up to proposed large energy projects, and beating them: All true stories. These people-power ballads were difficult to write, the stories being so long and complex, but I felt that they were remarkable stories that I wanted to tell. They are stories that prove that unlikely alliances of very conservative and very progressive people can come together on issues they agree on, work together with a sense of humor, and win.
Ask The Nebraskans:
We Have More In Common Than What Divides Us
I know our societies are divided on a bunch of issues. I also know we share the biggest things in common: a desire to protect our local jobs and economies; a desire to provide a good life for our kids; and a desire to protect the natural world around us.
