Welcome to the August issue of <monitor input>
Sound-Link & HUM Audio Devices had a very successful launch of the new N-Trophy analogue mixing console at GearFest last month. It was an excellent show with our stand very busy throughout the show.
Despite having been released only a month ago, the N-Trophy is already selling well with HUM Audio telling us that they have already sold a number of consoles with deposits having been paid.
Unfortunately, Microtech Gefell are having to increase prices from the 1st September - the good news is that old prices will still apply for all confirmed orders before the 31st August - see below.

Launched on the 15th July at GearFest in London
N-Trophy - Analogue Mixing Console
This eagely awaited console was shown for the first time at GearFest last month
and it is now on show at KMR in London.
We gave full details in last months newsletter. If you want to try the N-Trophy in your own studio please contact us and we can make arrangements to bring it over to you. The demo console is a special unit with 4 input channels that you can try out and can even do an 8-channel mixdown on.

Each N-Trophy is Custom Built to order and you can have any input option from 0 to 64 channels. For Mastering studios you can have the 8+8 Master sectiuon only - together with a LAAL Look Ahead Analogue Limiter this makes for an excellent mastering suite. LAAL details are HERE .

We now have every HUM Audio product on demonstration in the UK:

PRICE INCREASE from 1st September
Microtech Gefell have not increased their prices for many years but, due to increasing manufacturing costs and the worldwide component supply shortage issues, have been forced to increase prices from the 1st September.
The good news is that all orders confirmed before the 31st August will be at the old price and only orders on or after the 1st September will be at the new price.
We were happily surprised that the increase ended up being less than we feared.
But if you were considering a new Gefell microphone, now is the time to purchase to avoid the price increase.
So you can easily see the difference:

Gefell have changed the cases for some microphones and stereo sets - these now come in a tough polymer transit case. The M 300 stereo set now comes like this:-

STOLEN MICROPHONES
KMR in London were raided overnight recently and a large number of microphones were stolen.
Among these was a Microtech Gefell UM 900 phantom-powered valve microphone and a Gefell CMV 563 / M7S valve microphone.
Fortunately for us (unfortunate for the thieves) is that they only stole the CMV 563 / M7S microphone and left the power supply and box behind. So if you hear about a microphone being offered for sale without the popwer supply please let us and/or KMR know.

Though I do understand that the list may have been modified slightly after KMR did a full check on microphones.
Sadly some of these are rare and/or irreplaceable. No power supply of any of the valve microphones was stolen, so many of the microphones are unuseable.
If you are offered any of the microphones on the list please contact KMR or the Police.

Sound-Link will, again, be exhibiting at the one-day Pro-Audio Show.
This year it's on Saturday the 14th October in Greenford Hall, Ruislip Road, Greenford, UB6 9QN.
There will be several interesting talks, as well as over 30 exhibitors. This is an excellent one-day show that is great for networking as well as for getting all the latest from the exhibitors.
We do hope to see you there, especially if you missed us at GearFest.

µScoop
µScoop set in transit case

We have, one only, an ex-display/demo AETA µScoop-A set, complete with the "Remote Access" option, in a tough transit case.
The µScoop-A set with remote access and transit case would normally be £ 850.00 +VAT
As we would like to move this on, we have reduced the price to an amazingly low £ 500.00 +VAT

This is a one-off unrepeatable offer. The unit has mostly been used for display at shows and loaned for demo a couple of times. It is in an "as new" condition.

We have a new shipment of Pop Killers on the way - so, very shortly, we have all ten versions in stock again.
The Pop Killer has been selling very well over the last months due to the fact that it is so hygienic and easy to wash.
