Ongoing Programmes at Nubuke
All in a Glimpse
17 June - 27 August 2011
An interesting insight into the 10 regions of Ghana through the objects in this exhibition.
Art, poetry, religion, food and death come under scrutiny as this exhibition takes us on an intriguing journey learning about the cultural practices of different communities in Ghana through their arts. Exhibits include carvings of stools, combs, dolls and flutes, terracotta funerary heads, linguist staffs, kuduo and brass figurines.
Jubilee First Oil Exhibition
Museum of Science and Technology, Barnes Road, Accra
The educational exhibition is at its final resting stop at the Museum of Science and Technology, Barnes Road, Accra.
There will also be documentary screenings on Thursday evenings.
Visitors will learn about the history of oil formation, the journey from exploration to production and more about the uses of Oil.

Tsiame Weavers visit Nubuke
5 August 2011
Our Creative development initiative with the textile weavers in Tsiame continues. They paid a famliarisation visit Nubuke Foundation. They have began preparations for their exhibition in November this year. The mainstay of the Tsiame community is hand woven textiles and the exhibition will chronicle the history of textile weaving in the Tsiame commmunity to date and display some of their contemporary works.

passion you find with the creator of the art expires once the artist has exhibited their work. It is
then left there and their works gather dust..."

Eha-Lakasa is a straight talk, street philosophy, spoken poetry and music performances session which happens at the Nubuke Foundation’s East Legon premises. This community of poets promote and encourages free forms of self expression on the genre. Become a part of the experience.
