            Hello! May has arrived and your business should be in full swing.  I've seen an increase in accepted prices over the last few weeks (not too surprised because April has always been a good month for me) and expect seller's to start realizing the market has changed and they can't get the 90 cents on the dollar they could have received last year.

            Last month I promised to share my daily routine with you so here is what I came up with:

 

ü      9:00 & 10:00                      Organize day. Work on pending Files.

ü      10:00 & 11:00                    Respond to any messages & Start Call Backs.

ü      11:00 & 12:00                    Continue with Call Backs.

ü      12:00 & 1:00                      Handle calls. Check e-mail and respond.

ü      1:00 & 2:00                        Prepare marketing (mailings, ads, internet etc)

ü      2:00 & 3:00                        Check e-mail and respond. Prepare price letters and send.

ü      3:00 & 4:00                        Handle calls. Prepare and send packages on accepted deals.

ü      4:00 & 5:00                        Prepare for next morning. Check emails. Get and send mail.

 

            I also have a small list of tasks for when there is any down time such as:

 

Keep a monthly tally going on:

ü      # of Calls

ü      # of quotes/Price letters sent

ü      # of deals started

ü      # of deals closed

 

Tickler files for:

ü      Monthly Call Backs

ü      Annual Call Backs

ü      Partial Call Backs

 

Monthly Tasks:

ü      Pay Bills

ü      Enter figures in ledgers (Excel and QuickBooks)

ü      Back-up and organize computer

 

                This should give you a good idea of what my days consist of as a one man operation note brokering business.

                I hope to see all of you at the Growing Wealth Live convention in San Francisco in a few weeks. I will be doing a couple of one hour workshops on the Science of Marketing and the Secrets of Paper during the convention.  After that I am looking forward to seeing those of you who need a refresher or need to get their note brokering business jump started in Los Angeles June 27-29th for the 3-day Secrets of Paper 201 workshop.
