Hello,

We were recently able to get videographer and man of many other talents, Daniel Mackler, to go through the Summit videos and he extracted 52 short videos from the fabulous International Peer Respite Soteria Summit (Summit) and they are now on the Summit's YouTube Channel.  In consultation with me, Daniel created playlists for specific topics.

Daniel did a terrific job and even though some time has passed since the Summit, I think they are still highly relevant and valuable today.  In fact, with the United States rapidly moving to psychiatrically incarcerate and force drugs on people without housing I think the Summit's information and message is as important as ever -- maybe more.

If you think they are worthy, please share them around.  It would be especially great to have them get some traction on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.  If you have suggestions on how this should be done please let us know at info@peerrespite-soteria.org.

I think “How Afiya Helped Me” -- A Peer-Run Respite House as an Alternative to Psychiatric Hospitalization is a good introduction to what we are talking about and I will probably lead with that on social media.  I am on Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Instagram and TikTok and you might want to follow me so you can share what I post, which I think helps with the algorithms more than everyone posting things separately.  However, I haven't started posting them and have a limited amount of time so if someone else wants to make a real effort on social media let us know and we can let people know so they can share your posts.

In Solidarity,
Jim Gottstein
