PowerChord is a unique guitar plugin that allows you to create fantastic PowerChord grooves and lots more! Instead of using a sampled loop, you can create your own groove sequences with PowerChord or use the many presets with their grooves that are already included inside this creative instrument.
This makes PowerChord unique and even some guitar players may get envious from listening to what comes out of the speakers. Besides using the groove sequencer, you also have the option to manually play strokes, long strokes and ghost strokes.
55 Guitar Models are available including Filters, FX… all kinds of synthesizer features to help you sculpt your sounds. These are of course used already in the many included presets!
And NO… PowerChord will never replace a real guitar player… but a real guitar player can’t replace PowerChord as well, because of the unique sounds it can create!

How to obtain the PowerChord if you own the eXplorer-9 bundle
There are two ways:
- Scroll down on the 'eXplorer-9 download page. Then, download the single installer for PowerChord. Close your music host program and run the installer using your eXplorer-9 serial. Reboot your computer.
- Login and download the latest eXplorer-9 installer.
In case it has been some time since you last ran the installer for eXplorer-9, it is recommended that you download this latest version because it also holds updates of some of the other Plugins.
Close your music program, and run the installer, and reboot the computer.
PS. In case of slow download (some German customers of ours face this issue), please check the 'info' section of the eXplorer-9 download page and you will see the links to the direct Dropbox downloads.

- eXplorer (1-8) owners, please log in to robpapen.com and visit ‘MyProducts’ to request the upgrade to eXplorer-9. Upgrade cost € 74-- | USD 74--

- Upgrading at a reseller
First please log in to robpapen.com and visit the 'My Products' tab.
On the top of this page you can email the product list overview to your reseller for requesting the upgrade.

E-MU 'Techno Synth Construction Yard' and 'Beat Garden' |
Around 2000 Rob created two very successful ROM cards for the E-MU Proteus-2000 range , which are now available once more here!
The Proteus-2000 range of modules had the famous Z-plane Filter inside a 128-voice synth with sampled waves and loads of routing possibilities, and these features Rob Papen used of course!
The ‘Techno Synth Construction Yard’ and ‘Beat Garden’ ROM’s were also combined inside the rare E-MU Orbit-3 module. You can listen to the demo songs of the Orbit-3 here on YouTube.
These E-MU modules are still used in many studios, and these ROM cards are compatible with different E-MU modules and keyboards. So in case you haven’t yet expanded your E-MU device with the Rob Papen ROMs then check out all the information below.
