Notice of Proposed Works from 1 March 2021
Road Maintenance Works
Richard Road, Thompson Street & Elizabeth Park
Update on NBN connection
to the house
This week NBN installers will be bringing over equipment
to commence installations to the home next week commencing
Monday 15th.
Please refer to the NBN installation notice sent out to
all residents explaining everything.
All houses will be connected on the island over the next
few weeks street by street and we will keep you updated
week by week where they are working.
Residents who have registered with their provider for an
NBN plan will be the houses on the street that are
connected first.
It is important to let them get on with the job once they
start so please only help when you are asked to by the
installers.
Once you are connected make sure you you inform your
provider and get a date from them when to come and
complete connection in your home.
Thank you.

(Letter reproduced from
Voices of Mackeller) - Mackellar Matters -
I am writing to invite the members of Scotland Island
Residents Assoc (SIRA) to participate in a ground-breaking
community project – Voices of Mackellar – designed to
document the values, views and concerns of people living
in the Mackellar electorate.
Voices of Mackellar was formed in August 2020 by a group
of local residents who believe in the value of community
involvement to create a strong, healthy democracy.
Inspired by Voices of Warringah, we wish to take the pulse
of the Northern Beaches community by asking members of
associations such as yours to raise their issues and
concerns with us at our Kitchen Table Conversations
(KTCs).
You can find more information about KTCs here.
The information gathered at our KTCs will be included in
the Mackellar Matters Report that will be publicly
available in mid 2021. This report will be presented to
local candidates standing in Mackellar at the next federal
election, and the candidates will be asked to comment on
its findings, with their responses made public.
Earlier this week we had the opportunity to present to the
Avalon Beach Ladies Probus Club and below is a testimonial
from their President:
"Leonie and her team led a Q and A meeting at our club
recently. It was well run and provided much interesting
information and participation. I highly recommend their
organisation and urge you call them onboard."
Eunice Raymond, President
Avalon Beach Ladies Probus Club
I look forward to hearing from your association at your
earliest convenience. I am also happy to discuss this with
you in more detail if you would like to call me on the
number below.
Yours sincerely,
Leonie Scarlett
President
