This month marks the 40-year anniversary of the Vumba Massacre when 13 Elim missionaries and their children were killed. The youngest was just three weeks old.

One of the most terrible moments in the history of the Elim Pentecostal Church became one of its greatest as the world's press heard leaders speak not of vengeance, but forgiveness.

Direction Magazine is dedicating its June issue to those courageous missionaries, with an extended special feature telling their story again for a new generation of believers.
