Excerpts from Seeds of Revival "And Turn From Thier Wicked Ways."
OTHER BOOKS OF INFLUENCE FOR REVIVAL
Ministered to groups of young girls
Before World War II in Germany.
THE WAR CAME.
She was in demand as a speaker
All over Germany.
People crowded to hear her.
THE LORD TOLD HER
She had lost her “bridal love for Christ”
That she had when she first came to know Him.
How could that be, for this was
The most fruitful time in her life?
SHE ASKED THE LORD
To take her into a deeper repentance
And God answered her prayer.
SOMETIMES HER SIN WOULD SHOW
In embarrassing ways in front of others.
We repent better when our sin
Unveils for all to see.
GOD BROUGHT HER INTO
The joy of the bridal love for Jesus
She had enjoyed when
She first came to know Him.
THE LAST BIG BOMBING
At the end of World War II
Was in Darmstadt, Germany.
IT WAS SO DEVASTATING,
It caused people to seek the Lord,
And a great revival broke out
As God touched people’s hearts in the city.
OUT OF THIS REVIVAL
Basilea Schlink started
The Lutheran Sisterhood of Mary
With the young girls she had
Been ministering to.
THE SISTERHOOD OF MARY:
Their dress and way was much like
A Catholic sisterhood convent.
Their devotion was to be only to Jesus.
THE SISTERS WERE GIVEN LAND
To build their Convent on.
They did all the building work themselves.
NEARBY WAS A PRAYER TENT.
Some were in continual prayer for the projects.
IF THINGS DID NOT GO RIGHT,
They would all gather and ask,
“Who has the sin?” God would reveal it
To a sister’s heart, she would repent,
Then all would go well again.
They could get back to work.
THEY DID NOT OWN ANYTHING
But sometimes the sin was that
Someone had an item they treasured
More than Jesus.
THEY BELIEVED JESUS SET THEM FREE
From the curse; therefore, they should not
Have bugs in their garden. If they found bugs,
They would ask the Lord where the sin was.
THIS TOOK SOME TIME OF SEARCHING.
They would pick the bugs off by hand,
But the day came when there were
No longer bugs eating their garden.
I SAW SOME OF THEM IN PERSON
At the Catholic Renewal
In the 1970’s at Notre Dame.
These sisters were like tinkling bells of joy.
THEY HAD LET GOD PRUNE
Their hearts in such a way
That they had continuous revival
They lived to please the one they loved the most,
Even to the smallest matters of the heart.
A Granddaughter had benign lump on breast 5 years, last Sunday an guest speaker at church prayed for people to be healed. When she got home, the lump was gone.
Man attrended Ruth's seminar. He dipped snuff off and on through his life. In evenings he liked to do that as he watched TV. He could not give it up. When he got home from the seminar, he had no desire for the snuff. Has not dipped snuff since then.
