We have just about recovered from the 10th birthday celebrations (yes it has taken some time) and are now gettin seriously hyped for Zip's set at secretsundaze's closing party completing out 10th season run of summer parties.

 

We have tried to secure a date with Zip on a few occasions but dates never matched up. He is without doubt massively in demand and very choosy about his gigs so we are very happy to have locked him down for the closing. Seeing Zip play quite a few times we have always been super impressed by his great tune selection and sneaky mixing style. Always digging out forgotten gems and underground nuggets is something that he excels in.

 

For those that want to know a little more about what make Zip tick and indeed about Perlon his seminal label's output and philosophy you can read this excellent in depth interview by one of dance music's finest journalists Philip Sherbourne on Pitchfork here:

Moving on we have also got a new range of very limited secretsundaze T-shirts. There are 3 different designs - 1 very limited "10 Years of secretsundaze birthday cake" design by Andrea Ambrogio who paints in oil and painted the "10 Years" LP cover portrait of Giles and James and then 2 other designs by secretsundaze designer Samuel Muir - the classic secretsundaze "Smiley Balloon face" as seen on the vinyl of SS001 (Brawther - "Do It Yourself" in both white and black.
