Your dog and you ... Understanding the canine psyche
Get into your dog's mind!

Just how successful the bond between man and dog is depends on our dog's ability to ‘read’ us and our moods, so the more we understand about our own behaviour, the better we can influence our dog's responses. The anxieties of an owner can be reflected in their dog's behaviour, and the same is true of a calm, even-tempered owner. A dog may be man's best friend, but first, we need to be our own best friend. This book will show you how.
Your dog and you will be available to buy in April, but if you'd like any more information now, drop us a line at
Pure Pet food competition winner
We asked you what the best thing about owning a dog was, and we were blown away by your answers!
If you follow our facebook page, you'll know we've been running a competition in cooperation with Pure Pet Food to find out what you think is the best thing about owning a dog. The lucky winner of a month's supply of pet food is Gillian Leitch, who we think perfectly sums up being a pet parent to her dog, Callie, perfectly:
We had tons of fantastic entries, and it was hard to pick just one! We decided to offer a runner-up prize of a copy of our book, Winston, to Hollie Thorman, for her entry, because her dog, Hugo, made us smile, too!
Thanks for all the brilliant entries, and congratulations to the lucky winners!
You can find out more about Pure Pet Food here, and see more adorable pictures of Hugo over at his Instagram account!
Calling all pet mums!
Get snap happy for mother's day!
We simply loved seeing your pet dad pics for Father's Day last year, so we thought what better time to celebrate all the pet mums out there? Throughout this March, we'll be asking you to send us your pictures of the pet mums in your life. Send us your met mum pics, and we'll add them to our Facebook gallery!
Simply like the Hubble & Hattie Facebook page, and post your pet mum photo directly to our wall. Alternatively, you can tweet your images to @HubbleandHattie, or email
Animals and wellbeing
Part two – Animals and our physical wellbeing

Us pet owners are a lucky bunch – as we've already discovered, our pets have a tremendous impact on our general wellbeing. From getting us out of the house for a spot of exercise, to making us feel better when we’re down, our pets definitely have the ability to enrich our lives.

Over the next few months we’re going to take a look at the various benefits our interactions with the animal world have on our general wellbeing. This month, the focus is on animals and our physical health.
