Kids Yoga on Scotland Island.

Hi there fellow Islanders/ Off-Shorers

I've had several requests to start up a kids yoga class island side. I would now like to make this a reality for island & bays kids.

In case you haven't heard of the benefits of yoga for kids, they are many!!! There are trials showing benefits for kids with asthma, ADHD, epilepsy, eating disorders and more, plus these studies also showed reductions in stress, anxiety, and fatigue.

Some of the many other benefits for kids include:
  • greater sense of well being
  • better ability to deal with conflict
  • better able to handle negative thoughts
  • positive improvements in communication skills
  • improved sleep patterns……
….the list really just keeps going!

Kids yoga suits all kids, male & female, of all backgrounds and is especially beneficial for kids with learning difficulties and special needs.

The class I will initially offer will be for ages 4-12 years. I would like to break this into two age groups with time but we will start with one group and see how things go. Teenagers also benefits massively from yoga and they are always welcome at my adult classes, although if there is enough interest I would consider a class just for teens.

If you are at all interested, I was hoping you could indicate whether  a Tuesday afternoon, 4:30-5:15 pm would work for your child, or Saturday 10:45- 11:30 am is better. The classes would be $10 per child, for the first term on a drop in basis and then after that on a term basis.

Classes will be in the community hall & I will be happy to walk home any kids between tennis and bell.

By indicating your preference this doesn't mean you are bound to sending your kids in anyway! But it would be great to know what works for people so I can plan accordingly. If you have any other preferences, let me know and I will see what I can do.

You can e mail your feed back to nadine@consciouslifeyoga.com.au or call me on 0402 752465.

Thanks so much for your time.
Light & peace

Boat Berth at The Quays Marina for Sub Let

We will be away in France from 30/6/14 to 19/10/14 - nearly 4 months.

We would like to sub-let our boat berth at The Quays Marina for this period.
The monthly cost is $606 but would let someone have it for $500 per month for the period we are away.
The berth is side-on & directly in front of the cafe.
It would take a boat up to at least 6 metres in length.

Apparently there is a long waiting list for berths, so we don't want to relinquish it.
if anyone is interested please contact me at jthixton@hotmail.com
