President's Corner

       November has arrived and the year is fast approaching an end. One question to ask yourself as you reflect over the year is  marketing question.  Has your marketing been consistent or inconsistent? Once you have committed to owning and running a Note Business you must be equally committed to marketing and selling the services of that note business. It is difficult, if not impossible, to stay and remain profitable without a commitment to ongoing concerted marketing.

       To get more out of your marketing, create a simple marketing plan that includes marketing activity every day, every week and every month. Marketing plans combine formal activities (such as advertising, promotions and writing) with informal activities (such as making new contacts) . Don't underestimate the power of talking to people about what you do. Use every opportunity, every time.

       Remember, Success Demands Action! Keep on marketing, it’s going to work! TWITA!

Question of the Week

Q - Hi Jeff,

          We have a lead on a potential note buyer. He owns notes and said he would be more likely to buy more notes versus selling the ones he currently holds. How do we handle this? I think I have a sheet tucked away in a folder in my computer that I should have him fill out, but beyond that what do I do to get this guy in front of some notes?

A - Hi Greg! 

         The only way to work with note investors is to get their information on the Note Investor Criteria sheet and THEN if any notes come across your desk that meet their requirements you might be able to help them buy it. I also must add that you should have at least a couple dozen closed transactions under your belt before you ever think about trying to work with an individual note buyer so that you have a good foundation of note business knowledge.
