Public Notice is hereby given that the Planning Commission's scheduled Public Hearing for April 19, 2017, on proposed amendments to Title 15-1, Acceptable Use Table, has been canceled.
This email is to notify you about some issues of interest within the town. After a lot of consideration the Planning Commission and Town Council have opted to suspend indefinitely the creation of a separate hotel zone. The old commercial zone allowed for hotel/motel, but this was eliminated last fall.
Two applications were received prior to repealing the hotel/motel uses in the commercial zone, these were filed by the Hydes and the Sorensons. Because of the state law, the town must let these two applications proceed. The Hyde’s plan is approved as was negotiated with the town council, the Sorenson’s application for four rooms is pending approval under a settlement agreement. The Planning Commission will be holding an out of sequence meeting on April 19 at 7:00 p.m. Please see the PC agenda below.
