February 2005

Jeffrey R. Armstrong, President, Armstrong Capital

Happy February! I hope you are all happy, healthy and have taken last month's newsletter to heart and have mapped out a success strategy for your cash flow business.

Working as a Note Broker / Cash Flow Consultant is a challenging and exciting business. But we must remember that it is a business and therefore must be treated as such.

Just like any other business there are certain characteristics that lead to success.

The following excerpt was taken directly from Jeff Armstrong's Best Selling Book "Scripts & Tips", available from the Armstrong Capital Online Store or by clicking the "Buy Now" button below.

Guidelines and Characteristics that lead to success as a note broker

1) Commit money to your business - books, conventions, etc.

2) Have one great marketing plan for finding notes. You can do several things, but have one that you like to do and that works for you.

3) You must be credible. You can tell people that you work with billion dollar companies, because you do.

4) You must have the technical knowledge. The ability to work up a price, know your primary investor's current yield and requirements, know a salable note from one that can't be sold, etc.

5) Product knowledge - Full, partial, reverse partial, multistage, short life yield, quick am, etc.

6) Calculator skills - N I PV PMT FV

7) People Skills - Building rapport, negotiation.

8) Persistence - Burning desire to succeed and not stopping until you do.

9) Confidence in the above and in yourself.
