       The second of five suggestions to spring clean your Note Business is to SWEEP.

         Can you see the actual top of your desk? Or is it covered with scraps of paper, printouts and file folders? Now is the time to evaluate the need for development of a database solution, cloud storage or other information management system. Access to information quickly and efficiently is critical when you need to prepare worksheets, cover letters, submissions and agreements to investors and note holders. Sweeping is the process of collecting the data you will need, and reducing the clutter of extraneous materials that act as a distraction from the tasks at hand. Remember, Success Demands Action!           I have been reading a lot of your articles regarding note brokering.  I'm in the process of learning all I can.  I was wondering how you feel about sending yellow letters to note holders instead of postcards?

A - Hi Greg!

          Thanks for the email! You are free to test your own marketing ideas and find out what works for you. I have tested all kinds of different combinations including color of paper and I get the most responses with my direct mail to note holders when I use a white linen paper (a bit more expensive) for the first mailing and then I use 4 color postcards only for follow up mailings.
