Hello music lovers,

Hope you're all doing well! We've been busy here at Green Note recently... Lots of our gigs are selling out in advance, so if you want to come to a show make sure you book your tickets early!

As usual, we like to share a few of our upcoming highlights with you for the next couple of weeks. There are so many great gigs coming up, but many of these are sold out… so we will share a few recommendations, that you can still get tickets for... but don't delay!

UPCOMING HIGHLIGHTS...
We have a few Green Note debuts coming up in the coming weeks that we're particularly excited about!

Tommy Khosla & JAWARIThis Sunday (25th Feb), we're looking forward to a unique and special gig... Renowned sitarist TOMMY KHOSLA, along with multi-disciplinary collective JAWARI, joins forces with celebrated Chinese artist YIJIA to debut their collaborative new single. Yijia will set the stage aglow with her performance on guzheng, vocals, and guitar. Jawari will follow with a live set featuring music and poetry from their highly anticipated upcoming LP. Not to be missed!

Andrew WilliamsOther upcoming highlights include a Green Note debut from virtuoso boogie woogie piano man ANDREW WILLIAMS (Sat 24th Feb), acclaimed singer-songwriter DANIEL KEMISH (Weds 28th Feb) who returns to the UK to perform for the first time in 5 years (“Americana that feels timeless” FATEA) and who no fan of Americana will want to miss!
Kirsty McGeeA real treat for fans of Balkan music with two of the UK's top bands - RAKA (Fri 23rd Feb) and PAPRIKA (Fri 1st March), and the very welcome return of Green Note favourite KIRSTY McGEE (Sun 3rd March) whose stunning voice has been described as having the texture of ‘smoke and velvet’ and whose music draws on old vinyl blues, gospel & ’30s jazz - highly recommended! Many more great shows coming up (far too many to mention here)... so make sure you keep an eye on the events page of our website.

GREEN NOTE HITS THE ROAD
James MaddockFans of quality songwriting , will not want to miss rock & roll lifer JAMES MADDOCK who we will be presenting at the Water Rats (Kings Cross) on 29th February. He has been carving his unique path since the 1980s, when the New York City based, British-born singer-songwriter kicked off his career with a raw, soulful voice; a storyteller’s sense of narrative; and the ability to blur the lines between folk, classic pop, and rock.
Since his early days in London, he’s ridden the wave of a music industry that’s ebbed, flowed, peaked, and crashed. Maddock has stayed afloat throughout the entire ride, enjoying a brush with commercial success during the late 1990s – before transforming himself into an independent solo artist during the decades that followed.
His latest release in 2023 ‘Night Work’ is a beautiful collection of songs reminiscent of The Eagles and Credence Clearwater Revival – no imitation, simply landing effortlessly in the space between. James Maddock continues to demonstrate why many consider him to be one of the best singer-songwriters working today.
