sharing the same bill!? What could be better? To my surprise, Deborah
Bonham, the sister of Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, opened the show.
Who knew he had a sister!? Who knew she could sing like an angel!?
Bonham has a powerful voice, and put on a great set. She was well
received by the crowd who gave her a standing ovation. Bonham then came

"Hi everyone. In a desperate bid to do something that might help, in the light of the catastrophic and devastating bushfires, it came to me to auction my Mom’s favourite necklace. Mom loved Australia and New Zealand - New Zealand, very close to her heart that she visited several times as her sister Dorothy moved there just before I was born, and my Dad’s sister Margaret moved out to Sydney again just before I was born, so we have generations of family and friends out there. I was lucky enough to visit Australia once when I was very young when Mom and I stopped over at Darwin then Sydney on our trip over to Paekakariki near Wellington New Zealand. Of course we totally fell in love with the Koalas and Roos - I can not imagine anyone not falling in love with these beautiful creatures. So I know Mom would want me to do something however small to raise something to help.
All monies raised will go direct to Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary on Kangaroo Island (HBWS) that has been totally decimated by the fires.
The winning bids will be asked to donate direct at the following link which explains all of the work and conservation that HBWS do and then asked to send a receipt to us, we will then ship the necklace. If anyone would like to remain anonymous, you can private message me and we will of course honour your wishes.
The auction started today and photographs of the necklace itself and of Mom wearing it when she accepted the Classic Rock Tommy Vance Inspiration Award given to John Bonham on his behalf and which was presented by Paul Rodgers, and also a photograph of her and Robert Plant together at a party where she wore the same necklace and top for that matter! It was her favourite after all 😂
