Hello Friends!

Fall is here - that means leaves changing colour, cooler nights, darker mornings and of course Halloween stuff in every store even though we haven't yet left September.

This month I've been a swimming in music which of course makes my heart very happy.  Just this week on Tuesday my heart was truly full of love as we celebrated in concert the life of my longtime collaborator the pianist Mark Kieswetter.  Over 20 singers gathered to perform songs that connected them with Mark in the past and will keep him with us forever to come.

I hope you and yours are keeping well and that we see each other soon at a show!

Shannon & The Pickup Artists Last Friday @ The Rex

This month at The Rex has flown by!  Thank you to everyone who has come to welcome in the weekend with live music at my Friday night shows.

It's been such a delight to play with my Pickup Artists this September - a new band each week.  Tomorrow night, September 26, I'll share the stage with Ewen Farncombe on the piano, Chris Adrienesse on bass and Tim Shia on drums.  I'm bringing back some tunes I haven't sung on stage in ages and some I love to sing again and again.

The 5:00-7:00 shows at The Rex are no longer a ticketed event but rather a Pay-What-You-Can cover.
The Rex is located at 194 Queen Street West in Toronto.

October 21st - kb+sb

Tuesday, October 21st, I'll be performing as a duo with the wonderful guitar player Kevin Barrett as part of his weekly series, kb+vox, at The Emmett Ray Jazz Bar.

Kevin and I have known each other for ages but this is our first show together in years and I couldn't be more excited.  He is such a talent!

The Emmett Ray is an intimate venue - a long time home to music here in Toronto.  Cover is $12. Visit their website themmetray.com or email reso@erbar.ca for reservations.

Thank you as always for supporting my music!
