Script Call
From our 2009 Script Call four scripts were chosen – all debuting in Manchester with great reviews some of the scripts went on to be performed as part of the Buxton Fringe Festival, Preston Tringe Festival, Write Now Festival, and New Wimbledon Studio Theatre. We chose two scripts from our 2010 call which were produced last year in Manchester, Buxton and Salford. We also produced the debut of All Because Of Molly which debtuted at The Lowry and went on to a North West tour.

Our 2011 script call has been given Grants For The Arts funding from the Arts Council and the scripts - Bottled Waps and After Words - will debut in Manchester before touring the North West in the autumn.

We are now looking for new scripts to work with. We have guaranteed dates at The Lowry in April 2013 to debut two new shows so we are now looking for two new scripts to work with in 2013 for a North West tour.

The call opens today and will close on the 30th April.

A Light In Every Window & Hope In Boxes

Straight from their 'Best Show' success at the Not Part Of Festival, Elysion Productions present a double bill of premieres from the award winning playwright Nicola Schofield - writer of Peacefully At Home.

Hope in Boxes sees two Grandchildren sorting throught their Nan's letters and photos. As scenes bring Nan's experiencs of the Second World War to life, the contrasts of social pressures across generations become blurred and issues of hidden sexuality are revealed. The more things change....

A Light in Every Window changes the mood and catapults the audience into a fast contemporary drama of parties, love, marriage, infidelity, shocking consequeances, and ultimately the subtlety of sweet revenge.

Directed by our very own Gayle Hare, these plays promise an evening to remember.

A sell-out at The Lowry - audiences loved it:

"Both brilliant and moving performances. Would have paid £10 just to see 1 of the shows! Thoroughly enjoyed it! 5/5"
"Brilliant, excellently portrayed. An enjoyable evening. 6/5"

Some great reviews as well

"The very competent writing coupled with five solid performances made for an evening of very intense, naturalistic theatre. (Remotegoat - Patrick Cunningham)
"Both these plays were enjoyable, and the cast were absolutely amazing, (Public Reviews - Tracey Lowe)

Coming to:
On The Fringe (Southport) - 24 February (www.onthefringe.biz)
