This fashion-conscious Quattro was created by Felicia Nunally.  I really like the way she combined her fabrics for this bag and here's a little peek at the zippered entry!

Merilee Kennedy of Niceville, FL created this camouflage-print Cosmo Convertible for her granddaughter for Christmas who immediately fell in love with it and now Merilee has four MORE to make for other relatives! And here's a peek at the back.

This bold & dramatic Quattro was created by Veronica Johnson of Tasmania, Australia. The front pouch area features an embroidered design from the "Moroccan Tiles" collection. The coordinating colors that Veronica chose serve to beautifully accent the embroidered design. Here's a peek at the back.

And Sheree Hooper created this Western Boho Baguette for a very special friend who loves her bling! I like the way the lining compliments the exterior!

This delightful Quattro was made by Susan Walker of Texas as a Christmas gift for her daughter who collects nutcrackers. Susan says she probably has over 200
nutcrackers in her collection, but that right now, this one is her favorite! Here's a quick look at the front.

Miche'le Armstrong of Hokitika, New Zealand created this striking Quattro. Miche'le has her own quilt shop in new Zealand and chose these fabric from her stock. Here's a peek at the zippered main entry, as well as a frontal shot!

Jackie Abel of Watertown, SD says that she LOVES Tula Pink's quirky fabric designs, especially this particular one which features an octopus, which looks fabulous on her Boho Baguette! To bling it up, Jackie added some beach-themed beads and charms!

And last but not least, here's Pamela Smolek of Corunna, MI, with another stunning Quattro entry. She said she combined 3 different embroidery designs from Embroidery Library to embellish the front pocket area.

Blog with us!-  A Work in Progress
This month we started the NINTH edition of one of our most popular series, Purse Pattern Chronicles. It's easy to see which of these posts are part of this series, because they are all preceded with a PPC9 notation. And if you're new here, or if you missed any of the posts from last month, don't worry, they're all listed below.

Bobbin Around the Web- Dinky Baby

Vicky Riley is the mother of five children, four boys and one little girl. In searching for the perfect cloth doll to make for her only daughter, Vicky decided to just go ahead design her own. Dinky Baby features original easy-to-make soft-sculpted doll patterns. They remind me a little of the Cabbage Patch Kids that were so popular when my daughter was small, (only cuter).
Just click here to shop for patterns, most of which include a face template to provide the "perfect face". And don't forget to "like" Vicky's Facebook Page while you're here!  :)

Website Spotlite-  The Hen House
I know there's a whole lot of you out there who do not limit their creative endeavors to just sewing and quilting, so for those of you who are into the needlearts, I give you, The Hen House
According to Stephanie's website, she was raised to enjoy working with all sorts of fibers so now it's her pleasure to feature all of these disciplines in her store. I especially love her knit patterns which feature some of the prettiest shawls and wraps I've seen! She even hand dyes many of her own yarns which you can see by clicking here

Two to View-
I have two adorable videos to share with you this month!

  • click HERE to watch an adorable kitten. Even as I watch I can feel myself weakening... it sure would be nice to have a kitten in the house again!  :)

  • I am NOT a big fan of spiders, but even I can't help but smile watching this little guy do his "dance'.  Click HERE to watch his gyrations!

Look What I Found OnLine- Scramble your eggs INSIDE the shell!

No... your eyes are NOT deceiving you. The eggs pictured on the right were actually scrambled within the shell... long before ever cracking the shell or being boiled!
Just click here to watch the demonstration video to see for yourself!
I wouldn't want to do it all the time, but it might be fun for a special occasion or to blow a visitor's mind!  :)

A Techie Tutorial-  How can I tell if my Account has been hacked?

It seems like everyday you hear about a new hacking scandal, so this is a very appropriate question.
Here are the signs that your email or social network account has been hacked:
  • Friends, family members, or colleagues report getting a strange email from you, perhaps one that touts a shady-sounding business venture.
  • There are posts you never made on your social network page. These posts often encourage your friends to click on a link or download an app.
  • You have info that was lost via a data breach, malware infection, or lost/stolen device.
If you believe your account has been compromised, change the password to that account and other key accounts as soon as possible. Create a unique password for each account. Your passwords should be long and use a mix of upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.

Cats in the News- Lurlene & Noland
December 19, 2013-- Cleveland
This story began June 12, when a humane officer investigating a call about animal neglect found a fly-covered day-old puppy alone in a garage. The officer couldn't find the puppy's mother, so she rushed the tiny pit bull mix to the shelter on Willey Avenue, where the animal care team named him Noland and discussed how to save his life.  (click HERE to read more)

Monthly Trivia-

Today is Sunday, the ninth day of 2014 and the 40th day of 2014.
And it just so happens that today is a VERY important day in the history of music, because it was on this day fifty years ago, that the Beatles made their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show. They performed 5 songs before a screaming studio audience of 728, essentially launching the 2nd "British Invasion" of the US.
And here's the deal, it's probable that there's quite a few of you out there who remember nothing about that day or what the times were like back in 1964. So... I thought you might like to click HERE to find out what Beatlemania was all about. OR- click HERE to check out Rolling Stone's "100 Greatest Beatles Songs".
AND- if today is your birthday, here's a great big "Happy birthday to YOU" from StudioKat Designs and I suggest we ALL celebrate the day by watching this original footage from 50 years ago! Just click HERE to get started!

Well, that's it for now, so until next month, remember!
Sewing Forever, Housework Whenever!
