Market Summary

TSE All-Share Index

Stocks closed barely changed today with the TSE All-Share Index gaining 3.0 points to 76,332. Insurance (+1.68%) was the biggest gainer among sectors, while Metallic Prod­ucts (-1.95%) dropped the most. Automotive (-0.66%) was the sector with the highest trad­ed value, with IRR 199 billion (approx. USD 5.3 million) of shares exchanged. The top movers of the All-Share Index were Ghadir Investment Co. (GDIR -2.53%), Iran Khodro (IKCO -4.46%) and Esfahan Mobarakeh Steel Co. (FOLD -0.87%). The stock posting the highest daily trade volume was Machine Sazi Arak Mfg. Co. (MARK -3.37%) with IRR 69 billion (approx. USD 1.8 million) in trades. Total market trading volume surged 121% to IRR 10,028 billion (approx. USD 267 million), mostly because of a number of trades in participation bonds as well as block trades.

TSE30 Index

The TSE30 index of the thirty largest companies by market capitalization slipped 0.27% to close at 3,068. Esfahan Oil Refining Co. (PNES +1.31%) recorded the highest daily in­crease. The weakest share in the top 30s was Iran Khodro (IKCO -4.46%). The total trad­ed value of the top 30s reached IRR 366 billion (approx. USD 9 million), down 13% from yesterday.
