IN THIS WOWW!

Wade's single, Is It Already Time, will be supported by a video

I don't have much information on this. Just that Wade dropped by the house to pick up some pics from earlier in his career to be used in the video. We'll just keep on the look-out.

Contact your local station and request Is It Already Time?

This is an incomplete list of the stations that Wade has called.

Encourage others to make that donation to the Colon Cancer Alliance by downloading the song. It can be downloaded at most digital distribution sites, including Amazon.com and iTunes. Here is a direct link to the iTunes page.  All proceeds will benefit the Colon Cancer Alliance.

Wade performed at the Music Leadership Nashville Awards Event

Music Leadership Nashville recently honored 3 outstanding artists: Charlie Daniel, Vince Gill and Randy Owen with the Dale Franklin Award. A star-studded event was held at the War Memorial Building.  Wade was a surprise presenter to Randy Owen. On stage with some children from St. Jude's, he sang "Angels Among Us." That had to be a very touching moment for Randy.

Wade's Health

Great news - the last blood work showed no markers for cancer; the last scan showed no tumors. He's a walking miracle. No cancer. God is good.

The Undy 5000

Undy 5000 run/walk to benefit the Colon Cancer Alliance was held on October 20th in downtown Nashville. Yes, that is "Undy." Participants were encouraged to run in their boxers, and they had free ones to give away, courtesy of Dulcolax. (There were a lot of puns associated wih this event.)

Charlie and Nan Kelly were the chief promotors of the run. Nan is an on-air personality for GAC-TV and Charlie is a Grammy winning session musician. Charlie's colon cancer was detected early and successfully treated in his 40s - family history nudged him to get checked before he was 50. He has sponsored a yearly benefit concert for the Colon Cancer Alliance. This year, the run was added.

Wade had the opportunity to talk with the runner's about his experience with cancer. And for fun - he fired the shot that started the race. He vowed that he would be running with them next year. Our team, Walking for Wade, had a $500 goal to raise and exceeded it by $180. Very good for a week's effort. We placed in the Top 10 (#9). We've been promised more notice next year. Those from the Colon Cancer Alliance headquarters said the Nashville event was an outstanding first year effort.

PLACE TO TURN AROUND, WADE'S NEWEST ALBUM

If you don't have this in your collection, your missing a real gem. ThatNashvilleSound.com listed it as one of its top 10 albums of 2009 - "the most underrated album of the year."

In their review - "With apologies to Yogi Berra, it’s time to rediscover Wade Hayes for the first time. Place To Turn Around is everything that is great about indie records. Imagine hanging around your favorite honkytonk bar and hearing an artist singing great neo-traditional country music with acoustic guitars, fiddle and steel and buying an album at the side of the stage following the performance. And then imagine that the artist you were listening wasn’t some unknown band, but a road-tested Nashville songwriter and musician with many hits under his belt. That is the experience of listening to Wade Hayes brand new album" ..  Read More

Two cuts from the McHayes Album have been added to iTunes and Amazon.com

Wade and Mark McClurg teamed together for a short time as the duo McHayes. Their album, Lessons in Lonely,  was not released to the public. (A shame, really, there was some great music on it.) iTunes and Amazon.com have added two cuts from that project. It Doesn't Mean I Don't Love You, written by Trent Willmon, has Wade singing the lead and Mark doing the high harmony. The Wrong Kind of Right has Mark singing the lead and Wade doing the harmony.
