Hello & Welcome!

So I don't know about you but we've made the most of the time we gained from not vending at the Road2Ca show. As a matter of fact, we've made GREAT progress toward our next pattern release & are planning on sending the testing materials out to our Testers next week so... March is looking good for the release! (Yippee!) (For more info, click HERE)
But speaking of shows its time for us to start packing it up for the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival (Feb 23-26) where we hope to catch up with many of you once again! So while I get to back to work, I hope you enjoy this month's issue!

"Eye Candy" for February 2023
It’s time for your monthly treat for the eyes & this month's selection of bags is truly amazing.
ALL of the bags pictured below have been shared recently on

(For LARGER images: Click on each individual pic)
Let's kick February off with Kim Turner who used a fabric for her Triple Play that she's had in her stash for over 8 years! She used vinyl for the bottom of this bag & threw in some exemplary fussy-cutting. Click HERE to see the interior!

This crisp & classic Side Slinger was created by Brigid Johnson as a Christmas gift for her sister and she LOVES it! And who can blame her? This fun bag has a serious case of business in the front and PARTY in the back! :)

Monica Perkins altered our Odyssey pattern just a bit by making it shorter... wider... and by using sew-in magnets instead of the prescribed clamp-in variety and she's very happy with the results!

Here's another of Jeanette Jay's (#mamajay55) creations which was her last make of 2022! Her customer plans on using this Side Slinger as a concealed carry bag.

Angelia Loggie gave this amazing Sling Along to an LQS owner for the holiday and she was thrilled with it! (I would also like to know how many classes she sold based on this wonderful sample!)

Lynn Pardy said she absolutely LOVED making her Bella BiFold! I love the play of print & color that Lynn chose & totally fascinated w/the unique bias tape she chose. Turns out that Lynn very cleverly chose a diagonal print for her bias tape which is a trick I've never used myself... YET!

Gail Wisun-Gooch loves our Gemini FlightBag design SO MUCH that she just had to make another! This time she added a cash pocket & a key hook and based on this sample, Gail said she just might make yet another!

This fun & "comical" Side Slinger was of course created by Jeanette Jay! She advised that the fabric she used here is called "Detective Comics" and she found it at Spoonflower!

And here's another Sling Along created by Angelia Loggie for a LQS owner. I'm sure she was thrilled to get this sample for her store  because not only is it beautiful but now she knows she doesn't have to make a sample herself!

And this my friends is literally one of the most fantastical bags ever created by one of our customers! That's because LaDana Zadorsky used vinyl for the ENTIRE exterior of her Sling Along including the BIAS TAPE! Click HERE & HERE for MORE shots of LaDana's bag!

Two rescue cats who live in a hospice have been named joint National Cats of the Year 2022 for the “comfort and support they bring to people at the end of their life”. Brother and sister pair, Jasper and Willow, won the prestigious award for the joy they bring to the people in St Peter and St James Hospice in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.   {Click HERE to read more}

Un-word of the Month- "McFinch"
"McFinch"- A small bird whose natural habitat is in the parking lot of a fastfood restaurant!

When A$AP Rocky arrived at the Met Gala in September, he managed what few others could: go toe-to-toe with Rihanna on the red carpet (see picture at right).
His appearance at fashion's biggest night was just the latest example of the craft's modern revival, which is transforming quilts from family heirlooms into luxury products. Quilts have appeared on major runways and in nostalgia-laden winter collections, as labels increasingly turn to repurposed fabrics as evidence of their environmental credentials.
