Danny Tenaglia, one of Dance Parade's four Grand Marshals, will kick off New York City's biggest dance event Saturday May 17 after a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:45am on board the Burning Man style art car, "Harvey Disco Kitty!"

Rolling down Sixth Avenue from 17th Street, Danny will lead out 10,000 dancers from 150 dance organizations, live bands and DJs through the Grand Stand in Astor Place and ending in Tompkins Square Park for DanceFest 3-7pm!

 

 

We’re ONE WEEK out from the 19th Annual Dance Parade—and this Saturday, May 10th at 12noon, we’re hitting the streets to spread the word!

 

Meet us in Astor Place (between the Cube and Mud Café) and help us blanket the East & West Villages with flyers and posters—from 23rd to 8th Street, 7th Ave to Avenue C. We'll hit every bodega, pizza joint, and bulletin board to make sure tens of thousands come out to see our 10,000 dancers!
