September's just around the corner, kids back to school, evenings drawing in, and oh, it's IBC again! Chris Collings and I are off to Amsterdam to help promote all the new products from the companies that we represent.

But you can save yourself the trip by having a quick butcher's at the latest developments below with a second instalment following next week.

If you'd like a personal demonstration of any of the products listed here or to meet for a chat over a coffee, feel free to give us a call +44 7836 324509 (Chris) +44 7788 995747 (Sue).

  Kind Regards

DIRECTOUT ADDS ROUTING TO ANDIAMO RANGE & EXPANDS EXBOX SERIES
Hall 8.C80 DirectOut is introducing at IBC a revolutionary new "Matrix Mode" in its latest firmware revision for the ANDIAMO range of MADI-to-Analogue-to-AES converters. The free upgrade adds signal routing on a per channel basis doing away with the chancy business of physically patching cables, all the incoming tracks can be patched "in the box" via USB.

The upgrade includes ANDIAMO remote software for access to all the new features; signal routing, remote control of all the system settings, config of system fan control and monitoring of the system state.

DirectOut will also introduce two new devices in its popular EXBOX series - EXBOX.AES and EXBOX.MIDICOM.

EXBOX.AES offers a simple method of connecting AES devices to MADI streams and also transporting serial data over the MADI links to control mic preamps or other devices.

EXBOX.MIDICOM provides more comprehensive control-over-MADI with MIDI, RS232, RS422 and RS485 interfaces.

Too new for the websites, see other MADI products in the DirectOut range here www.aspen-madi.com and here www.directout.eu
JÜNGER AUDIO EXTENDS  ITS *AP RANGE WITH TWO NEW PRODUCTS

Hall 10.D20 Jünger Audio is bringing two new products to Hall 10, M*AP and V*AP.

M*AP is an 8 channel surround monitoring controller and loudness measurement system that's compliant with EBU R128. It's ideal for production and broadcast environments where it can be used for quality checking 5.1 surround and stereo programmes.

Loudness levels are pre-set and alarm signals, via GPOs and/or SNMP traps, let local or remote operators know when specified loudness limits have been exceeded. Loudness measurements can be performed over long or short periods and are triggered by automation systems with GPIs, the network or manually using the M*AP's and T*AP's remote.

V*AP is a voice audio processor for radio and TV applications in a modular design. It includes Jünger's Spectral Signature, a system that sonically matches programme material to a pre-determined reference.

Other than that the details are all a bit sketchy on the V*AP, I guess the only answer is to drop by the stand to find out more.

DELEC PARTNERS INTRACOM SYSTEMS TO MAKE SMART PHONES PART OF ITS INTERCOM
Hall 10.D30 is not even a triple jump away from Jünger so it would be rude not to stop off to say hello to Jürgen and Norbert on the Delec stand. They want to tell you about Delec's collaboration with Intracom Systems. Intracom Systems has developed the technology enabling smart phones to be connected as virtual subscriber units in Delec intercom systems.

What's more, the Delec Oratis intercom now boasts a new party line interface for connecting belt packs to the system. And there's a new Dante interface enabling remote devices, such as mixing consoles, audio routers or monitor speakers, to be addressed directly.

And last but not least, Delec's Oratis commentary system now comes with full HD for commentators.

Four very good reasons, I think you'll agree, why you won't want to miss the Delec stand.
