Bells Wharf Pedestrian
Bridge
It has been brought my attention that the pedestrian footbridge near
Bells Wharf is in an unsafe condition as the foundations have become
exposed making the entire structure unstable.
In order to make the structure safe again for pedestrian use, the
existing structure will need to be demolished in order to reconstruct
the foundations. Due to the risks associated with the structure in its
present state the bridge will be closed until this work is complete.
Residents are requested to access their properties from the Road
Reserve along Richard Road until the works are completed. It is also
requested that any boats or kayaks tied to the vbridge be removed in
the next week so they are not damaged by the works.
If you have any questions about the works please contact Council’s
project officer on 9970 1248.
Yours Sincerely
David Munday
