Sunday's game kicks off at 1 pm at Gillette Stadium. We have some important information for those of you that have tickets, and for those that will be watching the game at the Harp.
Tailgating at Gillette stadium is nothing like the experience at the Ralph. Given the parking situation at Gillette Stadium (a.k.a "Little North Korea"), we've found that the best way to have a group tailgate is to meet beforehand and "convoy" into the stadium. Also, with the ongoing construction there, it's hard to say which lot we will be herded into, so the best bet is, as always, to stick together. So... our group typically meets at the Bertucci's Restaurant on Rt 1 (southbound) in Norwood at 9 AM. It's about 5 miles south of route 128, on the right, about halfway to the stadium. From there, everyone can drive in together and be able to park near each other.
If anyone that's going to the game would care to be the coordinator/line leader at Bertuccis', please respond to this email, and don't forget to include your cell phone number.
We've seen a lot of new faces at the Harp so far this year, and that's great! For your benefit, and as a reminder to the "old timers", here are the basic policies we follow every Sunday:
1. The tables in the upper bar area near the stage are reserved for folks ordering food from the Harp's menu. If you're not interested in ordering food, there are other seating areas in the front and lower bar areas. If you're sitting at a table and not ordering from the menu, you may be asked to move for the benefit of others. Table tents will be placed on these tables as a gentle reminder.
2. No matter where you sit, don't forget to tip your waitstaff!
3. If you have any problems or concerns with anything at the Harp on a game day, please seek out Alison, Jeff or George first, and talk with us *instead* of going directly to the Harp staff. We might already be aware of the situation, and we will be better suited to address it. Plus, it's easier for the staff to deal with just us rather than a mob of folks.
4. No underage drinking will be tolerated. You'll be lucky if you're just kicked out for the day, if you're not banned for the rest of the season.
Thank you for your cooperation and consideration.... enjoy the game!
