The Co-Op Club Presents

December 2016 Bookings

Church Point Cafe -  Artists play between 3:30 - 6:30pm

Sun Dec 4: Urban Gyspy Quartet :image

Urban Gyspy Quartet are some of Australia's finest Latin/jazz musicians. This instrumental quartet are a contemporary band featuring nylon string guitars, cello & percussion. They represent an exciting direction in Latin Jazz, mixing world music influences with a wide range of styles and genres from breezy Bossa Novas to fiery improvised virtuosity. Each musician is a master of his medium and the results are imaginative, mesmerising & highly evocative..

Sun Dec 11: King Tide :image

King Tide are considered to be one of the best live acts in Australia. They have played at just about every major festival in the country and we are excited to welcome them to the Co-Op Club for the first time as an early Christmas present to you. They are an up-town, jam down, rock steady-reggae got soul band and they will make you dance and thrill you with their electric live performance. They are releasing their fourth studio album in the next few months due for release in November at opening night of the Mullumbimby music festival, so we’ll get to hear some new tunes as well as songs from their highly acclaimed album Roots Pop Reggae.

“..Simply, and I have written this before, King Tide is one of the best live acts in this country..”  -  Paul Busch (Faster Louder)

Sun Dec 18: Matt Trapnell & The Sly Dogs :image

Matt Trapnell & The Sly Dogs are going to help us celebrate Christmas with a local injection of blues, soul and some pop music thrown in for good measure.

We hope you will join us for the last gig of 2016 with some familiar faces, special guests and good cheer.

Boat tie-up urgently needed..

Eastern Wharf or Carols Wharf vicinity

Hello neighbours along Florence Terrace and Richard Road. We have somewhat recently bought Max Peet's old house, and we're now in urgent need of a tie-up for our boat, which is used by my partner to commute to work six days a week.

He is a boating professional, so we are happy to discuss payment options which could include good old-fashioned cash, payment in beer (he's a big lad and can carry lots) or perhaps boat or wharf maintenance of some description.

Please rest assured that despite his size, he has been known to move with stealth, so he won't make any noise as he ties up and walks by. The kids and I catch the ferry to and from the island.

Please contact Sabrina on 0413 885 733 if you're able to help.
