Scotland Island Garden Organics Collection

Monday 26 March

  • Maximum amount is 2 cubic metres, similar to a small box trailer for each household
  • Leaf litter, grass clippings and prunings TO BE PLACED IN HARD SIDED CONTAINERS
  • Branches to be no longer than 1.2m and BUNDLED AND TIED TOGETHER WITH TWINE
  • No plastic, hessian or nylon bags
  • No cardboard, foam or polystyrene boxes
  • No soil or untied bundles
  • No General waste or kitchen waste
  • No painted or treated timber
  • Large tree stumps or roots
Any material not complying with collection guidelines will be left on the road side for residents to arrange private collection

If you are needing to travel after 9:00pm, please call the taxi number after 3:00pm and speak with the actual driver who will working through the evening.

New Monday Evening Yoga Classes on Scotlnd island

Monday evenings from 7pm- 8:15pm

I am pleased to welcome back regular drop in classes on Monday night in the hall 7 - 8:15pm.

This class is particularly suitable for beginners, those with injuries or those wishing to get back into their yoga practice after a break.

Fully furnished, self contained waterfront Pavilion

on Scotland Island for short term rental

Self contained fully furnished Pavilion available for 1-3 month rental (min 1 month extendable) on waterfront architecturally designed property on Scotland Island.

The block contains two pavilions and boatshed, with own jetty and pontoon. As the tenant you would be renting the entire rear pavilion, enjoying water views from every room, with waterfront access with a jetty (mooring for your boat).

Rental: $750 per week. 4 weeks in advance, 2 week bond (rental includes ADSL2 wireless, electricity, water)

On the ground level there are two spacious bedrooms, bathroom with twin sinks and shower (underfloor heating and heated towel rail). Upstairs, a large open plan living area: lounge, dining and kitchen. All brand new appliances (Ilve oven, stove top and range hood), large fridge/freezer, ceiling fans), computer with workspace, kitchen island bench with stools. Twin beds and one queen.

Snug for winter with under floor heating in the bathroom and heated towel rail, gas Rinnai heater (gas bottles provided, refill at own cost).

This is a waterfront location, water only access. Regular ferry service and water taxis available. The property is 5 minutes from two public wharves.

Available from Saturday 7th April 2018.

Suit single or couple. No pets. Non smokers please.
