Dear ,
This newsletter contains important information for anyone who wants to register for the CNaVT exam (you’ll find all the details at the bottom).
But I also have something fun for everyone learning Dutch:
And on a personal note: our "teaching team" is growing again!
🐴 In two weeks, we’ll be welcoming a new horse: Lady Frou Frou,
making our little farm feel complete once more. 💛

Now, back to the CNaVT exam info:
Good for you that you want to take the exam!
I only administer exams for the CNaVT (since 1990), but I don’t work for them. So I can help you practice and take the exams, I send everything to the CNaVT, and they assess it.
In recent years, there have been many registrations (more than 200) and also many cancellations (more than 180), because people didn’t fully understand what the CNaVT exam entails or thought I still lived at my old location (I now live in the municipality of Lochem). There is a lot of administration involved in every registration and cancellation for me.
That’s why this detailed info—sorry for that 😉

Full = Full! Learn Dutch Fast is a small business, with just one teacher (that’s me: Syl). I can only help 3 students of the same level per day (and only 2 for C1), so in total, I can assist about 15 people.
-
Registration with Learn Dutch Fast is open from February 17 until March 15 at the latest.
-
-
The exam takes half a day to a full day, depending on the level.
-
If you are not a student @LearnDutchFast, you are responsible for choosing the correct level!
-
The exam takes place worldwide in the first half of May, and at my location, it is only available on weekdays, during the day. If, after registration closes, it turns out that there is no demand for certain levels, that specific day may be reassigned to another level in consultation. But for now, the schedule is as follows:
A2 INFO → May 2 → max. 4 participants
B1 FORM → May 13 → 3 participants per day (Or 4 if someone stays overnight nearby)
B2 PROF → May 12 → max. 3 participants (Or 4 if someone stays overnight nearby)
STRT → May 1, May 14 → max. 3 participants (Or 4 if someone stays overnight nearby)
C1 EDUP → May 6, 7, 8 → 2 participants per day (Or 3 if someone stays overnight nearby)
- Internal candidates pay lower exam fees
than external candidates. You are only considered an internal candidate if, at the time of registration, you have completed one or more immersions at Learn Dutch Fast or have had at least 5 Zoom lessons this calendar year. A "Distance Learning" course does not count.
Exam Fees
(This is in addition to the CNaVT fees!)

-
Results are only available at the end of July! I have no influence on this; everything is handled by the CNaVT. So, I also cannot answer emails like "When will the results be available?" or "How was my score determined?" 😉
-
As a registered exam candidate, you get a €25 discount on the Distance Learning Program (new name: Your Dutch Writing Journey), in which I help you practice for the written part of your exam (normal price: €180 for 10 letters). If you are already doing this program, remind me so I can deduct it from your exam fee.
-
In April, there will be exam training days (also with a discount for exam candidates) and possibly Walk & Talks. You can email or WhatsApp me for more info.
-
If you cancel after registering, your exam fee is non-refundable.
If you would like to register, please send me an email or WhatsApp BEFORE REGISTERING with the exact title and level of your exam and some information about yourself. Please also include your mobile number so I can reach you in case of emergency. I will then send you an invoice, which must be paid within 3 days, otherwise, your registration will be canceled.
I wish you lots of success with your exams! ❤️
Tot ziens!
