Looking Back – Watch & Listen
September brought us some wonderful music, and we’d love to share a few highlights with you.
Saskia Laroo Band – Tuschinski Festival Rotterdam
On September 12, the Saskia Laroo Band closed the Tuschinski Festival in Rotterdam. We had such a great time — a wonderful audience, lots of energy and music ranging from jazz and funk to hip hop and groove.
Duo Laroo/Byrd – Windsor, Connecticut
Another special evening was our Duo Laroo/Byrd concert at Underwater Kite in Windsor, Connecticut — an intimate gallery concert for a full house of music lovers and friends.
From the Studio – Warren Byrd on Vocals
We also spent an inspiring day at Studio Clous van Mechelen in Amsterdam-Noord, recording several new videos featuring Warren Byrd on vocals.
One of them is Joe Henderson’s jazz classic “Recorda-Me,” featuring Warren’s own original lyrics and vocal interpretation, with Saskia on trumpet.
Warren Byrd – vocals & lyrics
Saskia Laroo – trumpet
Maarten Russchen – guitar
Daniel Gueli – bass
Sin Banovic – drums
Jazzy greetings,
Saskia & Warren
