WE HAVE STARTED OUR 4th CAMPAIGN, KICKING IT OFF AT COMFEST,
for the COLUMBUS COMMUNITY BILL OF RIGHTS (CCBOR)
charter amendment!
We already have 1369 signatures, and now is the time
to join the effort to get it on the ballot.
Come get a petition (or more) and get your friends, family, church, network, etc. to sign!
Also, come help get signatures at events, libraries—wherever you can!
Upcoming events:
Friday, July 12, Lights for Liberty, 7-10 PM, at the Ohio Statehouse,
to protest family separations and the outrageously poor treatment of people legally seeking asylum at our southern border. WE INTEND TO BE THERE BY 6:15 TO COLLECT SIGNATURES BEFORE THE RALLY. BILL LYONS WILL HAVE PETITIONS FOR YOU—JUST BRING YOUR OWN CLIPBOARD AND PENS.

Tuesday, July 23, Simply Living and CCBOR are sponsoring the film A Concerned Citizen at Studio 35.
Come at 5 pm to network and order delicious food. At 5:30, the film starts and will be followed by a discussion of local activists. (You are welcome to bring your food into the theater.)
A Concerned Citizen is about “Dr. Riki Ott, a whistleblower who predicted the Exxon Valdez oil spill hours before it happened. A toxicologist, author, and activist, Riki has been organizing the Gulf coast communities to recover from the BP Deepwater Horizon disaster. She is also helping to spearhead the campaign with Ultimate Civics, one that will introduce a
Constitutional amendment to end corporate personhood, and to reform campaign finance and contributions.”
