Hello Friends,
The Rhine is and has always been about people, about providing a place for our community to gather and discuss our experiences in a safe and meaningful environment. As Louisa Rhine showed all of us so clearly, our lives are peppered with events that seem to be beyond the realm of possibility, and yet they occur quite often. We honor these experiences through our monthly meetings, events, and educational opportunities that offer a space to share our own dreams, intuitions, and psi experiences while learning more about how other people in our community have grown from their experiences of psi.
The research that we are currently doing at the Rhine continues to expand our original mission to explore the nature of human consciousness through the scientific lens of parapsychology. When J.B. Rhine was questioned about his findings, instead of stating that ESP exists, he simply said, “It happens.” In our lab we see these events regularly, and they continue to happen even when we institute extensive scientific controls. We have come a long way from Zener Cards and rolling dice. We now look for ways to understand how people understand these experiences in their lives and how they can learn more about expanding their awareness of these events that were once considered hidden and elusive.
As we approach the end of the year, let us celebrate the connections between all of us. Whether we gather virtually online, share our thoughts with each other on the phone or through emails, or meet in person to renew our friendships, let us recognize what the Rhine has meant to us in our lives.
2026 will bring new experiences for all of us, and the Rhine is on the verge of some significant changes as well. Please join us as we grow together and scientifically explore the nature of consciousness within our community. Whether you are a student with the Rhine Education Center, a member of the Psychic Experiences, RV, or Dreams Studies Group, a researcher working with the Rhine Research Team, or someone interested in understanding your own psi experiences, all of us are an important part of the Rhine.
