For several years we have given a free plant to anyone who makes a minimum purchase. But we get very busy so please remind the person helping you to give you your free plant!
 
 
                         Our Hardy Hibiscus Are Coming Up!
We have several varieties of hardy hibiscus to choose from. These are full sun plants with flowers the size of dinner plates. Hardy hibiscus are quite drought tolerant once you get them started. Find them in green house number two toward the back on the north side. 
      
 
        Our peonies are all up nowand are beautiful!
 
 Most of our peonies are  up now. You can see how many stalks will come up in most of the pots now. This week and the next couple of weeks will be the best time to come and make your selections to get the best plants with the most stalks.Find our peonies right now on the north side of our first green house. 
 
Plant peonies in the full sun in any garden soil. If you have any, add some compost under the plant. The eyes of the peony should be about one inch under the surface of the ground. We tried to plant them correctly for you so all you have to do is plant them the exact same depth in your garden.

                                            Our  Hostas are ready to sell!
As most of you know, hostas are one of our speciality plants. We have over 40 varieties and  thousands of containers to chose from. Hostas are a shade plant. find them in green house number four.
 
                                                                
 
                                        Pennestemon Blackbeard 
  This is the best and most hardy Pennestemon I have grown. It has purple foliage and lavender pink flowers. It grows very well for me in my display gardens in morning sun or all day burning sun. Find this plant in green house number three.
 
                                                           
 
 
 
                                                                                      Heucheras 
This is another shade plant. Find these plants in green house number Four. We have several varieties to choose from. 
                                                                        
 
                   Buddleia or butterfly plants 
 We grow four varieties of this plant now. They attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Buddleia need to be in full sun or at least a half day of sun. they will bloom all summer if you dead head the plants as the blooms fade. Find these plants in green house number three.
 
     
 
                                                               
 
                                                   
                                                                               Forsythia
 We grow two varieties of forsythia, Show Off and Sugar Baby.  Show Off grows taller than sugar Baby. both have several times as many flowers per squar foot as the older varieties. Forsythia blooms early in the spring and will grow in most any kind of soil. right now this plant is located in our small green house close to our parking area. Ask for it and we will show them to you.
 
               
                                                                       Magnolia 
  We grow two varieties of decidious magnolias.  Jane and  Centenial Blush.  Both varieties bloom a little later than older varieties and escape some late frost. They bloom before the leaves come out in the spring. Both are small flowering trees. Find these two items in the green house just below the parking area. please ask and we will show them to you. 
 
                           
 
                                                                                  Viburnums
We grow several varieties of viburnums.  Most are quite fragrant and have beautiful fall foliage. They will grow in full sun or as under story shrubs under large trees. They will also grow in a variety of soils. Find our viburnums inside of green house number five. Also note they are starting to bloom in our display gardens. 
 
       
 
                   Chitalba trees and Desert Willow trees 
 
  This is a great time to plant the Desert Willows and Chitalba trees we have in green house number three. Both of these trees will flower for months during the summer. We have three colors of desert willow trees to chose from. find these plants in green house number three.

We want to remind everyone to bring any unwanted containers to the nursery any time you are out this way. Set them off at the parking sign and we will move them. We recycle them over and over and it helps hold our prices down.
