From the Director
Another good rehearsal last night.  Let’s keep working on our spots.  For Brahms keep working with the German pronunciation file.  For Kodaly work on transitions.
Concert Tickets, Posters, Publicity
Our concert is only a little over TWO weeks away, and as those who were at last night's rehearsal will remember, "ticket sales are very important!"  Please do your very best to sell at least the four tickets that were in the envelope you picked up last night.  As Betsy announced, there are prizes for the top two salespeople:  $50 and $25 Handwork gift certificates!

Posters are downloadable from the Chorus's website
(https://acithaca.org/groups/icccs/tickets/).  Feel free to print and post in hard copy, post in your social media feeds, and email them to friends and family.

     The shared spreadsheet at
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RtVwsF5MVB1RmPuAQ3vhfuvMU2iQC7Iuu9YFGvCiIno/edit?usp=sharing shows no-cost opportunities for publicizing our upcoming concert.  Please indicate any outlets you've already contacted, add any that you plan to target, and let Jackie (jackie_magagnosc@twcny.rr.com) know if you have any other ideas.
Last Chance to Make Suggestions for Fall 2024 Repertoire
The Steering Committee would love to hear your ideas about what piece(s) we should perform next semester that might help attract both more singers and more audience members.

Ideally, the program would be less than two hours, not require a large orchestra or many/extensive vocal solos, and would not be something that we have performed recently (see https://acithaca.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/ITHACA-COMMUNITY-CHORUS-REPERTOIRE-030224-table.pdf ).

Please submit suggestions (email ICCNews@ACIthaca.org) by April 24.
Free Choral Concert in Cortland on Sunday, April 28 at 3:00
The Choral Union, conducted by our Chorus's friend and frequent bass soloist David Neal, will present a program of some familiar and some perhaps-not-so familiar pieces.  See the attached poster for further details.
