[excerpts:]
In a study released last year by Yale researchers, 66 Belmont County residents were interviewed about health effects since the oil and gas boom.  Many reported respiratory symptoms, general stress and fatigue and headaches, with 92% of people reporting at least one symptom.

Statewide, 293 spills, leaks or fires were reported at oil and gas sites in 2018.  Fifteen incidents - including the most severe - were reported in BElmont County, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

Statehouse Culprit Rep. Hoops Moves to
Ban Rights-Of-Nature in Ohio

Thanks to due diligence from CCBOR core member, Bill Lyons, we were able to obtain a public records request from the Ohio House of Representatives that states that Ohio state representative Jim Hoops, R-District 81 (n. of Lima/w. of Toledo) sponsored language that will make it illegal in the state of Ohio to represent rights of any natural object into the judicial system.

This appears to be a direct tactic against the Lake Erie Bill of Rights, which recognized Lake Erie as having rights of protection within the laws of the City of Toledo.

Please see the attached pdf file that was obtained from the records request!
