Help Submitting Your 2019-20 Tax Return – Due This Month!
Do you need to file your 2019-2020 Self-Assessment tax return? We can help! At Taxfile, we submit hundreds of Self-Assessment tax returns every year. We will fill in the figures, compute any income tax owed or rebate payable, and submit the tax return to HMRC for our customers. It’s easy and affordable!

Following an extension to the deadline, your Self-Assessment Tax Return is now due no later than 28 February. Don't leave it until the last week, though, or you'll be caught in a bottleneck along with everyone else who did the same.

Make a start today by filling in the short yellow form here and we'll be in touch with the next, simple steps.
Your Tax Payment Was Due on 31 January
Despite HMRC's recent extension to the tax return deadline, people's tax payments still needed to be paid by the end of January. So, if you have not yet paid any outstanding income tax on self-employed earnings, your payment is now overdue and this will cost you more money. However, maybe you need to work out the correct tax to pay. We can help with that too — just get in touch and we'll begin the process of working out figures for you, so you pay just the right amount — simple!
Are You Late Submitting an Older Tax Return?
If you still haven’t submitted your tax return for past years, HMRC penalties are expensive and cost more the longer you leave it. So, the faster you sort this out, the lower your HMRC fine will be. We can help you with this too, so you don't continue to incur HMRC charges. Make a start here so we can sort this out for you.
4th SEISS Grant To Be Announced in March!
Money Saving Expert founder Martin Lewis has announced exclusive news about a possible 4th SEISS Grant for self-employed people. The Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) offers direct financial support from the Government for those self-employed people who have seen a significant drop in profits due to the coronavirus pandemic, where eligible. Martin says the official announcement is currently scheduled for 3rd March 2021 during the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s Spring Budget.

Applications for the current 3rd SEISS grant closed on the 29th of January. The fourth SEISS grant period will cover the months February, March and April. Learn more about the possible 4th SEISS grant here.
Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme Extended!
If you’ve had to ask your employees to stop working or work less because of coronavirus (i.e. put them on ‘furlough’) you can get support to pay their wages for the hours they do not work. The government will pay 80% of employees’ usual wages for hours they do not work, up to a maximum of £2,500 per month. The scheme has been extended until 30 April 2021.

Time is almost up if you want to claim for January (claim by 15 Feb!) and you can no longer submit claims for December or November. See the deadlines for claims and learn more here.
Bounce Back Loan Scheme Deadline Extended!
The Bounce Back Loan Scheme (BBLS) was an initiative struck between the Government and banks to enable small businesses to access finances quickly during the pandemic.  It allows businesses to have access to 25% of their 2018/19 turnover, with a loan available between £2,000 and £50,000.  The loan needs to be repaid within 6 years at a reduced interest rate of 2.5%, with the Government paying the first 12 months of the interest. The Government has now extended the scheme and businesses can apply until 31st March 2021. Learn more here.
