Issue #185  December 2020
SO... 2020 is almost over and for the 1st time in my life I can honestly say that I'll be glad to see the old year end! Because this whole year has been full of tests and trials right? I've been depressed throughout parts of it, and like so many others I'm trying to find my way out!
I have no doubt 2021 will prove challenging as well. But for now, let's all take a deep breath, everyone! There are many challenges to come, but the vaccine roll-out has begun so let's move forward and consider how we can all be the change we so badly want to see!

December 2020 "Eye Candy"
It’s time for your monthly treat for the eyes & here’s the deal…this month's selection of bags is REALLY lovely, in fact... they're all GORGEOUS!  ALL of the bags pictured below have been shared recently on either our FaceBook business page, our Instagram feed or on our Group page on FaceBook

Mama Jay made up her Side Slinger specifically for concealed carrying to wear on her left side. It fits easily under a jacket!

This is the 2nd Mexican-inspired Sling Along that Nancy Rosa has made. She said she LOVES picking out and working with fun fabrics for this design!
After carrying her 1st GateWay for months, Kristy Fink said it was time for a new one. This time she used Pendleton wool & added a little Southwest bling from Tandy Leather!

I’m so excited to say that we’ve added another “Bag Dude” to our numbers! This Flaptastic was made by Ray McCoy & her calls this the Oklahoma version of this design!
And judging by the camping-themed fabric that Carol Basines chose for her Sling Along, I’d say she’s a true outdoor girl!

Nancy Rosa‘s evidently going for the record because this is her third and final (or so she says) Mexican-themed Sling Along
“What a ride!” is what Carol Beasley said when she finished her 1st Triple Play! She used faux leather for the base and said it went together like a charm!
Debra Reilly got talked into making her daughter’s boyfriend a biker Sling Along bag out of some leftover vinyl which made the construction a bit of a challenge. She (and the boyfriend) was pleased with the result!
And last but not least this is literally one of the most AMAZING Go-Go Compact's ever sent to us! Phyllis Carlyle used an incredible embossed leather for the exterior which made the seams so thick she had to ask a cobbler to do the final stitching for her, but didn’t it come out FANTASTIC?
This is Carol Beasley‘s THIRD Triple Play and I SO love the surprise bright blue interior!

GOING... going... gone! - the Baggalista
So... It sure doesn't feel like it's been 10 years since we released the Baggalista pattern, but today we're officially sending it into retirement.
And just so you know, this is STILL my Mom's most FAVORITE bag to carry but some of the features that were built into this design are no longer current. For example, the zippered side pockets that were once perfectly sized for cellphones are really too small for modern smartphones. (This doesnt bother my Mom, as she still carries a flip-phone... when she does in fact carry it!) Yell It's still a good sizedbag for the average woman especially since the bag is still quite functional even if those pockets are totally eliminated!
So... this cutie is going to the retirement home but if you would still like the chance to pick up a discounted copy (at half-price, $7.00), click HERE.
There's only a limited quantity of these patterns available & when they're gone.... they're GONE. And please note- we can no longer provide support for our retired patterns.
The excitement of getting a new phone is often tempered by nagging regret. Ashamed of yourself? Don’t be. There’s no need to stick the old phone into a drawer or use it as a doorstop or furniture shim. There are lots of ways you can put your older phone to work. After all, most older smartphones still have plenty of horsepower. Think of yours as a connected device that just doesn’t happen to have a SIM card anymore. Here are some suggestions for what to do with that extra, older phone. {Click HERE to read more}

When he was running for president, Joseph R. Biden Jr. said it was time for a pet to be put back in the White House.
And now, after an absence of more than a decade, a cat is set to also join the ranks of presidential pets, Jane Pauley of “CBS Sunday Morning” reported on Twitter on Friday.
